KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that there is a possibility of snowfall in hilly areas in three provinces of the country today.

According to the MFD, currently there is a partial influence of western wind in Nepal and a partial change in the weather is likely in the hilly areas of the country. The weather is generally clear in the rest of the country, although fog has enveloped most Terai districts.

The MFD has said that the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of the country this afternoon, and there is a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

Similarly, the weather will remain clear in the rest of the country tonight with partial change in hilly areas of the country. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The MFD has requested all to take necessary precautions as there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and the temperature is continuously decreasing across the country.
