KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The Government of Nepal has vaccinated more than 10 million people against the coronavirus. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 10,092,106 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 by Wednesday.
As of Wednesday, 17.9 percent of the total population has received the first dose while 15.4 percent has received both doses of COVID-19 vaccines which account for 5.42 million and 4.66 million people, respectively.
The government has introduced Vero Cell, J&J, Covishield, Japanese Astrazeneca and Swedish Astrazeneca vaccines. The government plans to vaccinate 30 percent of the total population by mid-October.
