Highest single-day spike of 2,672 new cases recorded in Kathmandu Valley in past  24 hours

Kathmandu district alone witnessed 2,100 new cases in the past 24 hours as the Valley's COVID-19 death toll stands at 189

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The Kathmandu Valley recorded the highest single-day spike of 2,672 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the Valley’s COVID-19 case tally to 40,170.

Of the 5,008 new cases detected across the country in the past 24 hours, 2,672 were detected in the Valley which accounts for 53.35 percent of the total cases.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 2,100 new cases were detected in Kathmandu, 203 in Bhaktapur and 369 in Lalitpur districts on Saturday.

Similarly, the Valley has also recorded six new death cases related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. So far 189 people have died of COVID-19 in the Valley.
