KATHMANDU, March 28: Tensions have escalated in Kathmandu's Tinkune area during the ongoing protest by pro-monarchy groups.
According to eyewitnesses, supporters of the protest have vandalized three houses in the area.

The police have been using water cannons and tear gas to control the situation.
As the situation escalated, the royalist program was disrupted. Following this, the leaders of the protest left the program venue and exited the Tinkune area.
