KATHMANDU, Nov 9: A mock-election has been held at the residence of American ambassador to Nepal in Kamaladi on Wednesday.
The mock-election has been organized in Kathmandu at a time when the vote counting is underway after the presidential election in the USA.
In the mock election program, people from various walks of life including speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, Chief Election Commissioner Nilkantha Upreti, CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai, ANNFSU President Nabina Lama, NSU President Nainsingh Mahar, CIB Chief Nawaraj Silwal took part in the elections.
With posters of US presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald J Trump, elaborately decorated program gave a look as if it was a small party.
The participants watched the live US vote counting underway in the USA on television.
