As a part of its flagship annual program, Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences (KIAS) is organizing the 4th international conference on ‘Mountains in the Changing World (MoChWo) 2019’ at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu on October 18 and 19.
According to a press statement released by MoChWo, the event’s main objective is to provide a regular forum for scholarly international on various facets of mountain issues among international/national scholars, researchers, policymakers and students.

Having the theme “Understanding hydroclimatic systems for sustainable livelihoods”, the conference will have gatherings of more than 250 scientists, researchers, professors, students and policymakers from Nepal, the Netherlands, France, China, USA, Cyprus, India, Singapore, and Poland.
The event has two keynote speakers: Walter W Immerzeel, Utrecht University, The Netherlands and Arun Bhakta Shrestha, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, Kathmandu.
