Ministers Khand, Sharma meet JSP Chairman Yadav to discuss Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU, May 20: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala have met Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav at the latter's residence this morning.

KATHMANDU, May 20: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala have met Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav at the latter's residence this morning. 


During the meeting, contemporary political issues as well as the government's policies and programs to be tabled in the Federal Parliament were discussed, according to Minister Khand's secretariat.

Likewise, the leaders discussed different bills including the Citizenship Bill that the government is preparing to table in parliament after forging consensus among the political parties.


Home Minister Khand said that the talks with Yadav were positive on tabling Citizenship Bill through a consensus among the political parties.


On Thursday, Minister Khand and Minister Sharma had met with Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to discuss the Citizenship Bill.
