In his meeting with the newly elected leadership of his party´s student wing All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) in Kathmandu on Thursday, he stressed for increasing investment in education.[break]
Students should have to pressure the authorities concerned for the utilisation of the investment allocated to the education sector, he said.
His response comes in response to ANNFSU demand for education loan without collateral and financial support of Rs. 200 at present and Rs. 300 per month within next three years for each individual below 15 and deprived of education.
ANNFUSU has also demanded special treatment for Dalit and disabled people for higher education.
On the occasion, ANNFSU Chairman Madhav Dhungel said illiteracy should be eradicated from the country by investing 25 percent budget in education.
