KATHMANDU, June 8: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has asked people to exercise necessary caution in view of the possibility of a heat wave in the Terai belt of the country for the next four days.
Temperature of the country is soaring to as much as over 40 degrees in most parts of Tarai, according to the MFD. The temperature level is expected to continue as it is likely to take a few more days for the monsoon to arrive this year.
