Teacher expelled for coming to school in drunken state

A teacher of a school based in Khurpa area of Kushe rural municipality – 5 has been expelled after he discarded warnings to not come to school in a drunken state. Hem Raj Shahi, an English teacher at the Laxmi Prapti Secondary School, had been coming to school in an inebriated state.

Ward chair faces music for rowdy behaviors

Police have arrested ward chairman of Raskot Municipality-1 Nawaraj Sanjyal for his unruly behavior at a Dohorisanjh in Surkhet. Police took three people including Sanjyal into custody after he was found engaging in rowdy activities at a Kankrebihar Dohori Sanjh under the influence of alcohol.

Bomb explosion in Gauriganga

An improvised explosive bomb (IED) explosion took place near the Gauriganga municipality ward no. 10 office this morning. The explosion however did not cause any kind of damage, according to District Police Office spokesperson Bir Bahadur Budhamagar. 

ANFA electing new executive committee

The 16th general assembly of All Nepal Football Association that began here this morning will be electing a new executive committee by this evening. The general assembly will elect a President, four Vice-presidents and 11 members. A total of 29 people including two for the post of President, nine for Vice-presidents and 29 for members are competing in the election.
