JANAKPUR, Feb 15: Matrika Yadav, who recently quit the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), said Sunday there is no possibility of his returning to the party. Instead, he welcomed Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to join the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). [break]
“I welcome Prachandaji (Pushpa Kamal Dahal) in the soon-to-be-restructured Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist),” he said at a press meet here.
Yadav made the remark a day after the Unified CPN (Maoist) stated that the party might consider bringing him back if he mended his ways.
Yadav said there will be room in his party for all those oppressed from the Tarai and the hills. “Currently, I don´t have any plan to forge alliance with any party or group because there is no party that works for the welfare of the country,” he said.
He claimed that the Unified CPN (Maoist) cadres have seized three district-level leaders of his party. “If such activities do not stop immediately then Prachanda will find his public image degenerated,” Yadav warned.
The press meet was attended by more than 300 party cadres including over a dozen district-level leaders of the party.
