CHITWAN, Oct 14: A massive fire has broken out in a pulpy juice manufacturing industry in Ratnanagar in the eastern part of Chitwan district.
A fire broke out in the pulpy juice plant of United Beverages Pvt Ltd, operated by Beshraj Dawadi, located at Ratnagar-10, Kailash Road, at around 4:30 am today. The police initially speculated that the fire was caused by an electric short circuit. Chitwan District Police Office has informed Republica that the fire has not come under control yet.
A total of three fire engines– two from Khairahani Municipality and one from Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality– have been used to extinguish the fire. Police said that there have not been any human casualties or damage to livestock and there is no external threat so far. It is said that it will take some time to bring the fire under control.
