The EC had decided to register the name of a person in voters´ list as per the Voters´ List Regulations 2007 if land ownership certificate or identity cards issued by any government offices, local bodies, government bodies or public educational institutions by establishing the voter´s name, permanent address, date of birth, age and the names of parents are submitted by the voter.
Issuing a press release on Thursday, the party has termed the EC´s decision as an ´anti-nationalist´ step.
The party has asked for withdrawal of the decision as it could hamper the country´s nationality, sovereignty and integrity.
