KATHMANDU, Jan 3: The main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to put pressure on the government to summon the house session at the earliest.
Talking to media persons after the Standing Committee meeting held at the party office in Paris Danda on Friday, Maoist Center Spokesperson Agni Sapkota informed that the party has concluded the government is deliberately delaying the summoning of the federal parliament session.
The Maoist Center is preparing to exert pressure by consulting with all parliamentary parties that are outside the government. Sapkota also alleged that the government is attempting to introduce an ordinance on party division by bypassing parliament.

According to Sapkota, a total of 30 Standing Committee members shared their views during the meeting on the political report presented verbally by the party’s Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday.
Members discussed the current political situation, party transformation, the government's activities and constitutional amendments. They emphasized the importance of laying the foundations of socialism in all municipalities to advance the development of socialist ideology.
In the meeting, Chairman Dahal announced that various campaigns will be launched to engage with people across all levels of the country, understand their problems and address them. He added that all central leaders, including him, will actively participate in these campaigns.
The Standing Committee meeting will continue on Saturday as part of preparations for the Central Committee meeting, scheduled to begin on Sunday.
