For this, the party will meet regularly if required, said Maoist Vice Chairman Narayankaji Shrestha. [break]
The meeting also decided to renew talks between Maoists and other political parties to discuss government formation. The party will again hold meetings with the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Madhesh-based parties. The party´s talks with parties before Dashain were fruitless.
Shrestha said that the meeting also discussed possible economic crisis that the country might face in the absence of the national budget. The meeting reiterated that the caretaker government should not bring national budget while deciding to look for alternatives to avert possible crisis.
"The budget is related to the political deadlock. So the meeting concluded that the deadlock should be resolved in the first place," Shrestha said, adding that if the caretaker government is allowed to table the budget, the issue of forming a new government will be overshadowed.
The budget should be passed by parliament by October 28 to avoid possible financial crisis because the one-third allocation introduced earlier under a special constitutional provision is running out.
