The two groups clashed after the UCPN (Maoist) cadres stopped motorcycles used by the other group. Akhanda Bidrohi, Udaypur in-charge, and Atal Singh, an area in-charge of the Matrika group, were injured in the clash. A motorbike used by them was vandalized. Security personnel took both of them under control for their security, police said. Later, UCPN (Maoist) cadres vandalized the Matrika-group´s local office.
Min Kumar, joint in-charge of UCPN (Maoist) in the district, said a dispute took place between the two sides as the motorcyclists didn´t follow the protestors´ request not to use vehicles during the strike.
