Maoist pledge needed for House session: Govt spokesperson

DANG, Dec 4: Minister for Information and Communications and government spokesperson Shankar Pokharel said that Parliament session will be called after the Unified CPN-Maoist expresses its commitment to parliamentary process.



He said the government was forced to end the Parliament session due to "anarchic Maoist behavior", saying the session should be called only after a Maoist commitment.[break]



Speaking at a function at Ghorahi, Dang, Saturday, he said the government will table the budget calling the session immediately when Maoists pledge that they would not disrupt parliamentary activities.



Pokharel said that the Unified CPN-Maoist could use the parliamentary right and take its proposal in the House to fail the budget if the process to introduce this fiscal year´s budget was wrong.



He also blamed the CA Chairman for not succeeding to play his role in a responsible way.
