Maoist-led govt impossible: Minister Bhandari

KATHMANDU, July 5: Minister for Defense Bidya Devi Bhandari said national consensus government was impossible unless the UCPN (Maoist) implemented the three-point agreement.



Speaking at a program organized by Charghare Nirman Sudhar Samiti at Tinchuli to inaugurate a roadway and electricity supply, Minister Bhandari said, "There is a slim chance of Maoist-led government until they abide by the agreements." [break]



She accused the Maoists of impeding progress by ignoring the pacts.



About the development, she said the government was committed to building social infrastructures and has also sanctioned budget for this.



The program was presided over by Samiti Chairman Dawa Dorje Lama Hyolmo.



Construction of a roadway from Tinchuli to Bauddha and maintenance of electricity supply in the locality here was recently completed.
