Maoist Center Standing Committee meeting postponed as Dahal is scheduled to visit Japan

KATHMANDU, July 29: The Standing Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) held at the party office Paris Danda on Friday has decided to defer the party’s provincial level meeting.


According to the Maoist Center Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the meeting was postponed as the party’s Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to visit Japan in August. He said that Chairman Dahal will visit Japan from August 6 to August 10 at the invitation of Nepali People's Progressive Forum (NPPF).

Spokesperson Mahara said that the meeting of Province 1 will be held on August 11, Lumbini Province on August 14, Madhesh Province will be held on August 18, Far Western Province on August 20. Similarly, the party’s diaspora committee will be held on August 22, the special province meeting on August 20 and the foreign liaison committee meeting on August 24.


The next Standing Committee meeting will be held on July 31 to decide about the party's office bearers.
