Man who went to funeral missing in river

RAUTAHAT, Oct 5: Gangaram Baitha, 50, of Madhopur in Madhavnarayan Municipality-6 of Rautahat, who had gone to a neighbor's funeral, has gone missing in the Bagmati River.

RAUTAHAT, Oct 5: Gangaram Baitha, 50, of Madhopur in Madhavnarayan Municipality-6 of Rautahat, who had gone to a neighbor's funeral, has gone missing in the Bagmati River.


After the death of a neighbor, he had gone to bathe in the Bagmati River near Pipra Rajwada village to follow the last ritual when he was swept away by the river. According to the police, the water level in the river has risen after two days of rain and the flow of water has increased.

According to DSP Narayan Prasad Chimoriya, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Rautahat, the search for the missing is underway with the help of locals and professional divers.
