15 people including Ward Chairman who went to attend funeral in Tilagufa out of contact

KALIKOT, Oct 10: At least 15 people, who went to attend a funeral of a local youth in Tilagufa Municipality-4 Ranchuli village in Kalikot district, have gone out of contact since two days ago.

KALIKOT, Oct 10: At least 15 people, who went to attend a funeral of a local youth in Tilagufa Municipality-4 Ranchuli village in Kalikot district, have gone out of contact since two days ago.

Nirmala Shahi, a local and social activist of Rachuli, said that 15 people including Ward Chairman Par Bahadur Shahi, who went to Tila River to attend the last rites of the local youth Hemraj Shahi on Saturday, have gone missing.

Chief District Officer Ram Hari Sharma said that they are investigating the matter. He said that a team of police personnel has been sent to the incident site after there was a report that those who went to the funeral in Rachuli have gone out of contact.

Meanwhile, 200 families have been displaced due to the landslide that occurred in Rachuli village as a result of incessant rainfall. All of them are now living in Kalika Secondary School.
