Oli fled the scene after the attack, said the police. While Bimala has received serious chest and head injuries, both his sons have received neck injuries. The children gained consciousness 10 hours after the incident. A Nepal Army helicopter had airlifted the wounded children to Kathmandu for treatment, said Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Adhikari. “Bhim Lal immediately fled the scene and is at large. We have launched a search for him,” said DSP Bhatta. Bhatta also informed that Oli still is in possession of the khukuri.
Preliminary investigation shows that Oli was a mental patient and had returned home after treatment a week ago.
According to Bimala, Bhim Lal was insisting on cutting a goat to celebrate the last days their life. But, they had not paid any attention to his talk.
