Ilam, Jan 11: A person has murdered his elder brother by hitting him with a wooden plank at Deumai municipality of Ilam this afternoon. 

According to the District Police Office, Ilam, Dilli Bastola of Deumai municipality-4 killed his elder brother Ganga Basnet over a minor dispute. 

Although a preliminary investigation of police showed that Dilli killed his brother in an inebriated condition, further investigation into the case was underway, according to the DPO. 

Similarly, Dilli had also beaten seven-year-old Sandhya Acharya of Ilam municipality-11 after murdering Ganga. Sandhya has been taken to Ilam Hospital for treatment. Police have arrested Dilli. RSS
