An armed gang fired bullets at Durga Bhattarai of Bagaduwa-7, Saptari nearby his house.
He sustained injuries in his neck and is receiving treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Saptari police chief Sarad Kumar Oli informed.
The assailants are absconding.
