According to Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) Chitwan, a total of 25 rape cases were filed in Chitwan in 2012. District representative of INSEC Sabitri Sapkota informed that four of the 25 rape victims are below the age of 18, while 9 are between the age of three and fifteen.
“These are the cases that have been reported to the police,” said Sapkota.
