Man arrested with Rs 3.8 million of undisclosed origin

KATHMANDU, July 11: Madhav Shrestha, 48, a resident of Ganesh Tol, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15, Chitwan , has been arrested with Rs 3.8 million from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-22, Sundhara.

The police deployed from the District Police Range Kathmandu arrested him with the cash. In addition, the police have seized a scooter (Ba Pra 2048 Pa 8130) and a mobile phone.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Maniram Paudel, 52, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, Kumarigal, the absconding defendant in a banking crime case.

He was absconding after an arrest warrant was issued by the Kathmandu District Court on June 26 in a banking offense case, and he was arrested by a police team from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Minbhawan, from Kumarigal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City. According to the Central Police Newsroom, he was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala, which has started an investigation.
