Indian citizen arrested in Mahottari with undisclosed Rs 1.32 million

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: A 40-year-old Indian citizen, identified as Arun Panjiyar and hailing from the Gada Bela Panchayat in Sitamarhi, Bihar, India, has been arrested in Jaleswar, the headquarters of Mahottari, with an undisclosed sum of Rs 1.32 million.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: A 40-year-old Indian citizen, identified as Arun Panjiyar and hailing from the Gada Bela Panchayat in Sitamarhi, Bihar, India, has been arrested in Jaleswar, the headquarters of Mahottari, with an undisclosed sum of Rs 1.32 million.


The arrest transpired on a Sunday afternoon when law enforcement authorities took Panjiyar into custody. He was traveling on a bus with the registration number Na 3 Ka 2878, which was en route to Jaleshwar from Samsi. He was arrested from Wakhri Chowk, Jaleswar Municipality-7.

The Mahottari District Police Office reported that during a routine inspection of the bus, the aforementioned amount of Rs 1.32 million was discovered and subsequently seized. Further investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
