NEPALGUNJ, July 6: A man has been arrested with a huge quantity of gold and silver from Rohani River of Kohalpur-12.
According to DSP Suresh Prasad Kafle at Area Police Office, Kohalpur, Ram Sewak Burma, 51, a resident of Nepalgunj-5, was arrested with 1.6 kg silver and 31.7 grams gold on Monday morning.
The seized gold and silver fetch Rs 1, 62,794 and Rs 1, 29,270 respectively in domestic market.
Sewak refused to answer where he was taking the precious metals, police said, adding that he don’t have any legal papers.
