Hong Kong, electing to bat first, put up a small total of 129 runs as they were all out in 37.2 overs. Opener Ansuman Rath and Miten Khatri gave 28 runs opening stand before Syahadat Ramli bowled Ansuman at 16 runs. [break]
Khatri and Kinchit Shah again tried to anchor the innings. However, Ramli trapped Khatri (24 runs) lbw. Nick Nabil sent Shah back to pavilion at 30 runs. Amerul Hussin, then, took four wickets to wrap up Hong Kong in the small total. Muhammad Fetri Sham and Nabil took two wickets each.
Malaysia, chasing the small total, met the target in 24.3 overs losing their three wickets. However, Malaysian innings received an early blow as Kinchit Shah sent openers Razlan Zalati (2) and Amerul Hussin (nought) back to pavilion in the second over.
Syahadat Ramli once again came for the resurrection of Malaysia and anchored the innings. Ramli remained not out on 71 runs. Ahmad Tajudin contributed 20 runs before getting out off Miten Khatri´s ball. Zachary Shunmugam was not out on 16 runs when Malaysia sealed the victory.

In the fifth place playoff, Saudi Arabia beat Bahrain by six wickets at the Pulchowk Cricket Grounds on Monday.
Bahrain put up 154 runs before getting all out in 37.1 overs as Saudi Arabia put them into batting after winning the toss. Mohammad Fayyaz (36 runs) topscored for Bahrain. Hassan Sharif completed his five-wicket haul.
In reply, Saudi Arabia met the target in 22 overs losing four wickets. Mohammad Abdullah remained not out on 86 runs to seal the victory for Saudi Arabia.
