KATHMANDU, July 4: The Nepali U-16 cricket team emerged victorious in the ACC East Zone Cup, securing their third consecutive title. The young Nepali cricketers exhibited outstanding performance, defeating Malaysia by a notable margin of 31 runs in the final match.
Chasing a mammoth target of 253 runs for victory, Malaysia were bowled out for 31 runs in 14.5 overs.

Abhishek Tiwari took 5 wickets and Santosh Yadav took 3 wickets for Nepal. Tiwari bowled 6 overs and gave only 7 runs with one maiden.
While batting, Naren Bhatt scored a century for Nepal. He played 89 balls and scored 112 unbeaten runs with 2 sixes and 10 fours. Neeraj Yadav scored 47 runs, Suryanshu Koirala scored 18 runs, Santosh Yadav scored 26 runs, and Ashok Dhami scored 11 runs.
