KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Lawmaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has urged the government to be serious towards the report submitted by the probe Committee formed to investigate into the Nirmala murder case. 

Nirmala Panta, 13, of Kanchanpur district was raped and killed around two months ago. 

During special hour in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Sapkota said, " Different incidents related to violence against women including rape, acid attack should be stopped while the price hike on the eve of festivals needs to be contained." 

Demanding the release of the report of the probe committee submitted to the government, Pushpa Bhusal said that the government should be serious to maintain peace and security as well as to stop VAW. 

Similarly, Laxmanlal Karna demanded to address the problem of employees working in community schools while Sarita Giri asked the government to initiate the process to amend the constitution to make the constitution acceptable to all, urging the government to be sensitive towards incidents related to VAW. 

Urging the government not to bring Civil Servant Act through ordinance by evading the Parliament, Hridayesh Tripathi drew government's attention not to increase price of sugar on the eve of festivals. 

MP Amresh Kumar Singh urged the government to not clear forest in the name of international airport in Nijgadh, Bara while expressing concern over the failure to implement the agreement reached by the government with Dr Govinda KC. 

Likewise, Chanda Chaudhary demanded that the report on the incident of murder of Nirmala Pant submitted by the probe committee be made public through the parliament. 

MP Prem Suwal said the new Act should not be introduced by ending the parliament session. 

Birodh Khatiwada said felling of trees in Nijgadh should begin only after preparing the DPR of the proposed international airport. 

MP Gagan Thapa questioned why an open bidding was not held before handing over the Budhi Gandaki hydropower project to the Chinese company. 

Kedar Sigdel called for sufficient budget to the social security sector while Renuka Gurung stressed on the need of making the Nepali Army inclusive.
