Maintain law and order: NC to govt

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: The Nepali Congress (NC) has urged the government to maintain law and order situation in the country in the aftermath of the Kailali incident.



A parliamentary party meeting of the NC held on Monday expressed condolence for police personnel who died during the course of their duties and three protesters killed in incident.

"The meeting has also urged the government to maintain law and order situation," said NC lawmaker Nabindra Raj Joshi. According to Joshi, the meeting also urged the government to make necessary arrangements to provide treatment to those injured in the incident.


The meeting had concluded that unwanted elements had tried to incite violence in the name of political demand.
