KATHMANDU, April 10: Mahendranagar United has defeated CYE Attariya by 15 runs at Dhangadhi Premier League 2 underway at the Seti Zone Police Cricket Club in Dhangadhi on Tuesday.
With the victory, Mahendranagar has entered semi-finals. It will now take on Kathmandu Goldens tomorrow. The winner of the game will enter the finals.
Dhangadhi Team Chauraha has alrady reached the final round by defeating Kathmandu Goldens.
Rabindra Chhetri of Mahendranagar has been awarded with man of the match.
Attariya failed to reach the target while it was chasing 131-run target set by Mahendranagar. It made only 115 runs losing four wickets in the allotted 20 runs.
SP Khakurel made highest 30 runs including one six and two fours off 25 balls, V Chandra made 28 runs off 29 balls and remained not out while DS Airee contributed 27runs off 34 balls.
In reply, Rabin Chhetri took highest two wickets of CYC Attariya giving away 16 runs in overs and B Karki grabbed one wicket conceding 20 runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Mahendranagar notched up 130 runs at the cost of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Arif Sheikh top-scored with 35 runs including five fours off 37 balls, P Mehara made 26 balls including two fours and one six off 29 balls while Karan KC contributed 24 runs including three fours and one six off 13 balls.
In reply, KS Airee took two wickets while K Karki, S Urao, B Lama, DS Airee and V Chandra grabbed one wicket each.
