SARLAHI, Oct 18: Chairman of Sadbhavana Party Rajendra Mahato on Tuesday said that he was optimistic of the constitution amendment but can’t trust.
He said that he hopes that the government will file a constitution amendment proposal at the parliament before Chhath festival, but he can’t trust the government.
“The justification of the government will end if it fails to register the proposal,” he said.
He was of the opinion that no power can implement the constitution sans amendment.
Saying that elections are not possible unless Madhesi people are entrusted with rights, Mahato opined that it is the duty of the government to implement the constitution by holding timely polls.
