SIRAHA, Feb 3: "Siraha is among those districts which kept supporting the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) despite various ongoing rumors and propaganda," said Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, speaking at the 15th Hem Narayan Memorial Assembly in Siraha on Saturday.

He thanked the people for "standing by the party." While he addressed the crowd, the audience kept clapping for him.

"I hope, many other Madhes districts will also understand the efforts made by the government to make Madhes shine bright in the near future," said PM Oli, adding, "We have brought several projects for the development of Madhes like the fast-track connecting Kathmandu with Tarai.

We will soon construct an international airport in Madhes and many more."

After listing few other national pride projects aimed at the development of Tarai-Madhes,   PM Oli questioned" How can the government that has been thinking so much about Madhes be anti-Madhesi?" He also assured that the airport in Janakpur would start night flights within the next three months.

He also claimed that the government is proving everyone wrong who were creating rumors and making false accusations against the government.

He assured the people that the government will live up to their expectations and will not let them down.

"Our opponents who leave no chance to pull our legs should understand that development is not magic but a process. It will take time," PM Oli added.

During his whole speech, PM Oli kept clarifying that he is not against Madhes or Madhesi people.
