Machindra Mela in Kerabari after 21 years

PATHARI (Morang), Dec 26: The cultural fair-Machindra Mela- is going to be organized at Kerabari in Morang district after the gap of 21 years.

The week-long Festival will kick off from January 3, 2017.

The week-long annual affair which is held during the Nepali month of Poush had not been held for more than two decades during the insurgency, shared Kerabari Trade Promotion Committee President, Churan Singh BK.

Visitors could look out for various cultural performances and musical events besides the agricultural exhibitions showcasing the local produces, added BK.

Hives of activities, including recreational sports competition and religious rituals, will be taking place during the Fair that embodies the cultural identity of the place. RSS
