Lust releasing through blog

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Lust, a short film made by a crew of young Nepali amateurs is being released worldwide today through Akarpost.com.



The film, which won the "Buds Best Film Award" at the Buds Film Fiesta in 2010, is a 22-minute film that narrates the story of two individuals who share an office romance.[break]



It stars Manisha Bista and Pawan Jha in the lead roles. 



"I believe it´s first time that a Nepali blog is releasing a film," shared Anil P Ghimire, the proprietor of Aakarpost.com who blogs as Aakar. The blog which he started in 2007 is viewed widely and broadcasts both podcasts and videos. Ghimire is a student of Computer Engineering at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel.   



"I was involved in promoting the film from the beginning and after it was screened at the Buds Film Fiesta and Kathmandu University, it received a very good response. Then we decided to release it through the blog," Ghimire said. Adding, " We chose this day to release the film because it´s Valentine´s Day, and a perfect occasion to enjoy a new film."



Lust has been directed by Rajan Kathet and is based on a story by Abhimanyu Mani Acharya Dixit. It has been edited by Bijen Shrestha and the cinematography has been done by Shail Shrestha.
