KATHMANDU, March 30: A meeting of the House of Representatives today endorsed an ordinance presented to amend (first) the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) and Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Act.
In the today's meeting, Minister for Law, Justice, and Federal Affairs, Sher Bahadur Tamang, presented the proposal, seeking the endorsement of ordinance and the meeting unanimously passed the proposal.
Similarly, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa presented the "National Assembly Members' Election Ordinance-2018" while Minister for Education, Science and Technology tabled the "National Medical Education Ordinance-2018" in the meeting for approval.
These ordinances were issued by the erstwhile government led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The Lower House shall meet again at 1:00 am on April 2.
