DADELDHURA, June 19: A local level in Dadeldhura district has distributed corrugated zinc sheets to altogether 57 households in its bid to replace the houses having thatched roofs. The Bhageshwor Rural Municipality in the district provided 57 Dalit families with the corrugated zinc sheet to ensure their better housing, chief of the rural municipality Kaushila Kumari Bhatta said.
The corrugated sheets were also distributed to the Dalit households in order to increase the income generation of the people from Dalit community and help run their traditional occupation in a more systematic manner, according to the rural municipality.
The beneficiaries have expressed their excitement after getting the zinc sheet saying that the local level realized their sufferings.
Dhane Lohar, a beneficiary of Ward No. 4, said now they can regularly carry out their occupation even in the rainy season and get more businesses. RSS
