Liverpool legend John Arne Riise announces retirement

OSLO,June 13: Ex Liverpool left back John Arne Riise has announced his retirement from professional football. Former Norway international who won Champions League with Anfield club in 2005 has decided to hang up his boots ending his contract at boyhood club Aalesund.

OSLO,June 13: Ex Liverpool left back John Arne Riise has announced his retirement from professional football. Former Norway international who won Champions League with Anfield club in 2005 has decided to hang up his boots ending his contract at boyhood club Aalesund.

Riise earned 110 caps for Norway and spent over a decade playing in the Premier League for Liverpool and Fulham.


Beside Champions League,the most capped Norwegian has won FA Cup, League Cup, two Community Shields and two UEFA Super Cups during seven seasons at Anfield.
