He died of prolonged illness due to high blood pressure while undergoing treatment at hospital.
Rimal was first admitted at the B & B Hospital at 3 am this morning after he felt some uncomfortable.
Later he was referred to Neuro Hospital, Basbari, where he breathed his last.
He was cremated Thursday at Aryaghat. The funeral pyre was lit by his elder son Bishwo Rimal.
Rimal, who is survived by wife and two sons, was born in Lafloha of Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
