KATHMANDU, July 18: The Purna Prakash Nepal Yatri Study and Research Foundation has presented this year's 'Yatri Bangmaya Award' to national poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire on Monday.
The award carrying a purse of Rs 51,000 and a letter of appreciation was presented in recognition of his contribution to bring Nepali poetry to a height.
Yatri had contributed to enrich Nepali history, culture and literature by visiting all VDCs of Nepal excluding four during four years period.
He had 119 literary books and collection published to his credit. His voluminous publication is epic 'Sinjapati Bala'.
Receiving the award, Ghimire said that one and all should get inspiration from a multi-dimensional personality loke the late Yatri. RSS
