He also clarified that the liquidity crunch in the market has eased a bit due to good remittances inflow in the last few days. He opined that there is a need for money recycling in the market to ease the lack of liquidity.
Governor Adhikari was of the opinion that if the loans taken from the banks are paid back, then the liquidity crunch in the market will ease to some extent. He said that if we start saying that the distortions in the financial sector should not be corrected at the time of crisis, the economy cannot be improved. Governor Adhikari also said that the NRB is ready for open discussion and cooperation with the private sector. He also said that now imports have been allowed and various policies have been introduced to maintain a balance in the economy.
