Lightning strike injures 18 people, including 13 students

KATHMANDU, June 25: Eighteen people were injured, among them 13 students, when lightning struck a school at Okharkot in Pyuthan district Thursday afternoon, according to Avenues TV.

The condition of nine among the injured after the lightning struck the Baljyoti Primary School is said to be serious. The injured are being treated at a local medical hospital in the district.

At least 11 people have died in two days due to lightning strikes in Sarlahi, Rautahat and Bara districts.
