KATHMANDU, Aug 25: It has been raining in most parts of the country since this morning. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces in the morning, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The monsoon low pressure line is currently located in the northern part of the usual place, closer to Nepal. In addition, Nepal is also affected by the low pressure area currently located in the northeastern part of Uttar Pradesh, India. Due to this, the monsoon is active in the country.

There will be a normal to full change in the weather across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and a few places in the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, there will be a normal to complete change in the country’s weather at night. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few places in the rest of the provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms at one or two places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
