KATHMANDU, April 3: Light rain is likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces of the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is currently a partial influence of westerly winds and local winds in Nepal.

The MFD forecasts mostly clear weather in the hilly parts of the country, including Sudurpaschim Province, today. However, this afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, and partly cloudy to mainly clear in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country.

The weather is said to be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy to mostly clear during the night. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Gandaki provinces. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
