KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Various regions of the country are expected to experience rain with thunder today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces throughout the day.

This morning, there is a normal change in the weather in Koshi Province, while the rest of the provinces are experiencing partial to normal weather changes. The MFD has also reported light rain at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The MFD has also said that there will be partial to general rainfall across the country this afternoon. It is said that there is a possibility of wind and storm at a few places in the Terai area of Madhesh Province and Koshi Province.

Similarly, there will be partial to normal showers across the country tonight as well. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and one or two places in the rest of the provinces. Also, there is a possibility of wind and storm at a few places in the Terai area of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The officials of MFD have requested everyone to avoid possible risks as there will be changeable weather conditions with thunder/lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places in the rest of the provinces.
