KATHMANDU, Dec 20:   Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has said that he wants to see the party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba as a proposer of another candidate for the NC’s parliamentary party (PP) leader. Sharma said so while addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

He said that although Deuba had done many good things as the country’s prime minister, all his good works were overshadowed with people often commenting that he has become the PM time and again. He said that when Deuba was the prime minister, it was possible to establish commissions to free bonded laborers, Dalits, women, ethnic groups, etc. General Secretary Sharma told Prime Minister Deuba that there is a need to make another member of the next parliamentary party leader a proposer in order to make his good works known to the public. He said that proposing another colleague in the parliamentary leader of the party would be an honorable exit for Deuba. Chief Minister Sharma clarified that the country is in need of guardians by saying that everyone is fighting for the post of Prime Minister and the President. He also accused that no one wants to be the guardian of the country. He also said that he is confident that Deuba will not leave any hesitation to propose another colleague for the leader of the parliamentary party. He asked to be confident about proposing as, he will question the party's General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa as the leader of the parliamentary party.

He said, “Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has done many deeds for the country but they are hidden. After Kamaiya's emancipation, the tradition of being sold from one house to another ended, Dalit and women's commissions were started under his leadership. These good deeds done by him are repeatedly covered in the name of being the prime minister.  Now he has this opportunity when he should be able to say that I have become the Prime Minister five times, this time I will give it to Ramchandra Poudel, who has traveled with me. He will have an honorable exit. If he gives it to Prakash Man Singh from Janajati, Bimalendra Nidhi saying that he will make Madheshi Prime Minister ,  Shashank Koirala as BP's son or Gagan Thapa as a youth  Prime Minister, the good works that he has done will come to light. As much as the country needs a Prime Minister and the President, the country is in search of a guardian.

General Secretary  Sharma said that the CPN (Maoist Center) is now working to find another alliance in its desire for power and should not go against the will of the people. He said that the coalition has come up with a result after various criticisms and that it should rise above the desire and urge of power and prejudice. He said that Nepali Congress did not see it as a doubt even though it was reported in the media that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) is going to join another coalition to enter the government. He said that CPN (Maoist Center) should not forget the moment of regression.

General Secretary Sharma made it clear that if the government cannot be run in a different manner than in the past, the common people will lose trust in political parties. He said that it is necessary to run a nationwide insurance campaign in the name of Shramik's insurance campaign.
