Leopard cat found in Besisahar, released into forest

LAMJUNG, Dec 25: A leopard cat was found at Besisahar Municipality-8 in Lamjung. Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Lamjung, Thaneswor Chapai, said that the beast was found hiding under the banana trees of Dal Bahadur Poudel of Besisahar-8 on Sunday.

LAMJUNG, Dec 25: A leopard cat was found at Besisahar Municipality-8 in Lamjung. Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Lamjung, Thaneswor Chapai, said that the beast was found hiding under the banana trees of Dal Bahadur Poudel of Besisahar-8 on Sunday. 


He said that the police reached the spot acting on a tipoff about the entry of the wild cat in the area and efforts made by the staff of the Division Forest Office, Lamjung to take the tiger under control.

Forester of the Division Office, Guna Bahadur Glan, took the leopard cat under control with the help of sacks. 


Santosh Khanal, chief of the Division Forest Office, said the leopard cat was taken under control and then released into the forest. He said, "The beast may have come here in search of food. The leopard cat was released into the forest without identifying its sex"
