Responding to queries of the lawmakers, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala said the government has already sought clarification from the embassy over the issue. The Indian Embassy termed the issue a ‘baseless allegation’, Koirala added.

Meanwhile, unsatisfied with the response of the embassy, lawmakers of the committee asked the government to be serious over the issue and run another investigation.
